How did this all come about?

Hey there, and welcome to Ranchette Dreams! We’re Tim and Karine Taylor, and we’re so glad you stopped by. We want to invite you to follow our adventures on YouTube, where we share a mix of small-scale ranch life, real estate, travel, and the beautiful chaos that comes with animals, family, and chasing a dream.

We’re living our version of the dream now — but trust us, it didn’t just happen overnight.

There was a time when life was all about schedules, careers, and “stuff.” We were constantly busy but never really living. One day, we realized we were spending more time maintaining the life we built than actually enjoying it. So, we started asking ourselves what it would look like to build a life we didn’t need to escape from.

That question changed everything.

Karine — a Colorado native raised in West Texas — has always had a love for animals and adventure (and the habit of saying “yes” to one more goat, pony, or chicken). Tim — a Massachusetts-born, Texas-rooted realist who’s lived in 13 states — is the structured half of the team, balancing corporate life in supply chain with a growing real estate business. Together, we’ve built a small ranchette that’s become our little piece of peace — and a launching pad for everything from real estate stories to weekend road trips and RV adventures.

Now, we share our journey so others can do the same — whether it’s finding your dream property, learning how to manage animals on an acre, or just finding joy in slowing life down.
