Ranch Chores, Guss’s Comeback & a Surprise Stockyards Date!
Just another day living our Ranchette Dream… except this one ends with a surprise trip to the Fort Worth Stockyards! 🐴🤠❤️ Come spend the day with us as we head to the stables to feed the horses, muck stalls, take care of everyone, and—as usual—share plenty of laughs along the way. Guss continues to make remarkable progress recovering from laminitis related to his ongoing Cushing’s disease. Karine gives him a fresh braid, and then Guss does what Guss does best—settles in for one of his naps! 😂 His feet are looking better, he's getting more comfortable, and we're getting closer to the day when he can finally be turned back out into the pasture with the girls. Pearl, our donkey, is also making great progress! Since joining us in December, she's settled into her new routine and continues working on her haltering and trust. And, of course, Lilly, Ellie Mae and Olive are busy running the paddock like the queens they believe they are. 👑🐴 But ranch life isn't ALL mucking stalls and feeding animals... After we finish up at the barn, I surprise Karine with lunch at the Fort Worth Stockyards! That turns into a little shopping—because Karine can apparently find something she needs in EVERY store—while I discover a much more economical hobby: sitting down with a couple of ice-cold beers. 🍺😂 Then it's back home to feed the rest of the horses and goats and finish the day surrounded by the animals that make this crazy life so much fun. This is what Ranchette Dreams is all about: 🐴 Horses & donkeys 🐐 Goats and barnyard chaos 🤠 Ranch life ❤️ Family 😂 Plenty of laughs 🚙 Texas adventures 🌅 And chasing the dream of living life a little differently If you enjoy horses, animals, Texas, ranch life and the adventures that happen in between, subscribe and come along for the ride! 🐀 The Ratinator vs. Ranch Rats! | Karine's Secret Operation - Part 2
After the surprising lack of success with Karine's homemade peanut butter beer can rat trap, it's time for an upgrade! In Part 2, Karine launches a full-scale covert operation using the new Ratinator trap in an effort to humanely catch the rats that have been causing trouble around the ranch. Armed with determination, peanut butter, and a new game plan, she's ready to see if the Ratinator can outperform her original trap design. Of course, no operation is complete without a little backup. Tim is recruited to help with the mission—or at least stand around and supervise while Karine does all the work! Once the rats are safely captured, they head down the road to release them far away from the ranch. As if the rat-catching adventure wasn't enough, a torrential Texas downpour made feeding chores more interesting. Karine checks on the horses, including Gus, who is continuing his recovery from laminitis and making steady progress. Will the Ratinator prove to be the ultimate rat-catching machine? Did Karine finally win the battle against the ranch rats? Watch and find out! 🐴 Featured in this episode: • Karine's covert rat-catching operation • The new Ratinator trap • Humane rat relocation • Texas ranch life after heavy rain • Horse feeding time • An update on Gus and his recovery If you enjoy ranch life, horses, animals, country living, and a little humor along the way, be sure to subscribe and follow our adventures! #RanchetteDreams #RatTrap #Ratinator #CountryLiving #TexasRanch #HorseLife #HomesteadLife #RanchLife #AnimalRescue #Laminitis #FunnyVideos #FarmLife #Rats #PeanutButterTrap #HorseCare

A New Beginning for Guss | Rescue Horse’s First Day at the Stable | Karine’s Birthday Surprise!
In this episode of Ranchette Dreams, Karine and I head to the stables to introduce the newest member of our family — Gus. Gus is a big teddy bear of a horse that we rescued from the kill pen, and from the moment Karine saw him, she completely fell in love. When he arrived, he was in rough shape. His old horseshoes needed to come off and his hooves needed a proper trim from a good farrier before he could really be confident on his feet. But that was just the beginning… Gus also had a thick, heavily matted coat that made grooming a real challenge. We suspect he may have Cushing’s Disease, which can prevent horses from shedding their winter coats properly. Because of that, trimming becomes necessary to keep them comfortable and healthy. Karine got right to work, and after a lot of effort — and a few shavers later — we finally got our big guy cleaned up and feeling much better. Watching him relax and enjoy the attention reminded us exactly why rescue horses are so special. While we were at the stables, we also: Fed Pearl - our donkey Checked on our three girls Lilly, Olive, and Ellie Mae Made sure everyone got their treats and attention But the biggest moment of the day was saved for later… Gus was actually Karine’s birthday present, and seeing her reaction to this gentle giant made the whole day even more special. We wrapped up the evening at home celebrating her birthday, opening a few gifts, and watching her blow out the candles and make another wish… I can only wonder what it was… (probably another horse… which makes Tim a little nervous 😅) Thanks for joining us as we give Gus the fresh start he deserves and welcome him into our growing ranchette family. 👍 If you enjoy ranch life, horses, rescues, and country living, make sure to subscribe to Ranchette Dreams and follow along with our adventures! #HorseRescue #RanchetteDreams #HorseLife #CountryLiving #HorseTransformation #RescueHorse #RanchLife #HorseFamily

In Loving Memory of Diesel
Diesel came into our lives needing help, and we gave him everything we had. What we didn’t know then was just how much more he was carrying—how severe his struggles truly were. We fought for him with hope, with trust, and with love, but in the end his body was dealing with far more than anyone realized. Though our time with Diesel was far too short, it was filled with care, comfort, and devotion. He had a safe home, gentle hands, and hearts that loved him deeply. Until his very last moments, he was never alone—he was surrounded by love, and he knew it. Diesel gave us his trust, his quiet strength, and his affection, and we will always carry that with us. Saying goodbye broke our hearts, but we take comfort in knowing that the last of his life was filled with kindness and love. He mattered. He was cherished. And he will never be forgotten. Run free, sweet Diesel. You are loved beyond words.

We Went to Feed the Horses… and Ended Up Adopting a Donkey | Winter Ranchette Life
Winter doesn’t care about plans — the animals still need you. 🥶🐴 In this episode of Ranchette Dreams, we head out to the stables during an icy winter storm, navigating slick roads and freezing temperatures just to make sure everyone is fed, safe, and cared for. The day turns into a full-on battle with frozen water, breaking ice, feeding horses, and mucking stalls in brutal cold conditions. While we’re at the barn, we realize one sweet donkey named Pearl shouldn’t be out in the freezing weather any longer. We step in, get her safely into the barn, and manage to get a jacket on her to help her warm up. What starts as helping turns into something much bigger — Tim decides to officially buy Pearl and give her a new forever home. ❤️🫏 After a long day, we head back home for a quick break to walk the dogs before returning to the barn again that night to get the horses settled in and ready for the cold ahead. The next morning brings relief — everyone is cozy, fed, and made it through the freezing night. Tim and Karine are tired, sore, and worn out… but incredibly content knowing the animals are safe and cared for. This is real ranchette life — no shortcuts, no glamour, just love, responsibility, and showing up when it matters. Thanks for coming along with us. Swinging at the Stables 🐎😂
Some days at the barn are busy. Others are productive. And then there are days like this — the kind you wish you could replay. In this video, we start the day at the stables feeding the girls before tending to Diesel, then taking him on a slow, easy walk to spend the day with the girls. Along the way, we catch up with friends around the barn, share a few laughs, and soak in the everyday moments that make this place feel like home. Kay keeps things interesting — including chasing her horse away from the sprinklers (she loves standing right in the stream of water 😂), while she rakes her pasture on the four-wheeler. Tim and Karine try out the swings (with mixed results… Tim didn’t exactly nail that one 😄). Diesel settles in, takes a good roll in his pasture, and the girls enjoy a well-earned siesta after eating. With plans for happy hour later, we round up the crew, head back to the stables with the grill, and cook up burgers for a laid-back barn cookout. The day wraps up the best way possible — good food, barn talk, great friends, and the kind of evening that reminds us why we love this life so much. Thanks for spending the day with us. 🤍🐎 #RanchetteDreams #BarnLife #StableLife #HorseLife #RanchLife #HappyHourAtTheBarn #DayAtTheStables #CountryLiving #LifeWithHorses

Barn Banter, Horse DNA & Happy Hour at the Stables 🍻🐎 | Ranchette Dreams
Some evenings are loud… Some are chaotic… And some are just perfect. This one? Pure peace. The video kicks off with the Barn Banter crew diving into horse DNA, behind-the-scenes ranch talk, and a little extra chatter we usually try to keep off camera 😂 (David definitely made sure of that). Then the pace slows — in the best way possible. Tim, Karine, and Tim’s mom Rosemary settle in for a calm, relaxing evening at the stables with Diesel and the dogs. The sun starts to dip, the barn quiets down, and suddenly it’s… Happy Hour 🍻 Tim fires up the grill, cooks some chicken, enjoys a well-earned beer, and the pups — Tucker, Wyatt, and Cooper — are perfectly content just being right where they belong. No agenda. No rush. Just family, animals, good food, and barn vibes. This is the side of ranch life that makes it all worth it. 🐴 Christmas Cheer, Barn Chores & A Grouchy Karine | Ranchette Dreams
It’s that time of year again — our annual Stables Christmas Party kicks off this video with good friends, beautiful horses, and plenty of holiday spirit under the barn lights. 🎄✨ The next day, Karine and I load up the truck, grab the pups, and head back to the stables for a full dose of ranch life. The girls are waiting for breakfast, Diesel is calling from the paddock, and the dogs are way more excited for chores than we are! 😂🐶 Karine’s a little tired (and maybe just a tiny bit grouchy), so Tim does his best to keep her cheering from the sidelines while we feed horses, walk the property, and muck Diesel’s stall. There’s laughs, real moments, and the everyday joy of taking care of the animals we love. If you love ranchette living, horses, animals, and authentic behind-the-scenes moments — you’re in the right place. 💛 Thanks for riding along with us! #RanchetteDreams #HorseLife #BarnLife #StablesLife #HorseFeeding #MuckingStalls #RanchLiving #TexasLife #CountryLifeVibes #HorseLovers #DailyRanchLife #FarmDogs #HolidayAtTheBarn #ChristmasBarnParty #EquestrianLife #PaddockLife #CountryCouple #RealRanchLife #TinyFarmBigDreams #RanchetteLife
